Since the start of the lockdown in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the women of Parijat Urja Chakra 2 in Cuddalore have been making masks to help protect their community from the virus. Utilizing their sewing skills, the women have been producing high-quality triple layered cloth masks that are reusable, lightweight and breathable. The masks have been distributed for free to the community and to various government departments, providing much-needed protection to those living and working in Cuddalore. The women have been working hard to help protect their community from the virus and to ensure that everyone has access to a mask. Their efforts are greatly appreciated by the local population and the government alike.
